My journey into the beauty industry started with my own struggle with severe acne. I wanted to understand my skin and find treatments that actually helped. That curiosity eventually led me to esthetics and I fell completely in love with it. Eight years later, I’m still learning, growing, and finding new ways to help people feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
What I love most about being an esthetician is creating an atmosphere where people can relax and feel cared for. There’s something special about giving someone a little time away from the outside world to get back to themselves. Creating that kind of space for others helps me do the same. It’s a reminder that beauty services can be about so much more than how we look.
I’ve never really connected with the way the beauty industry often tells us what we should look like. From pushing conventional ideals to creating new insecurities for people to fix, so much of the messaging is designed to make us feel like we’re never quite enough. I want to do better than that.
I don’t believe that acne, aging, body hair, or the natural features that make us who we are are inherently ugly or something we need to “fix”. Beauty should be about choice and self expression, not feeling shamed into conforming to the beauty standard.
Outside of the studio, I’m usually crafting, spending time in nature, or finding little ways to make everyday life feel more magical. I’ve always been drawn to alternative styles, unique self expression, and people who aren’t afraid to be themselves loudly. I want Arcane Esthetics to feel like a place where everyone is welcome to show up exactly as they are.
